Dress in layers, as the weather can vary from warm and sunny to breezy and cool. Glacier temperatures can vary widely—from around 35°F to 80°F—due to sunlight reflecting off the snow. Sunglasses are highly recommended! Overboots and jackets are available if to use if needed.

BACKPACKS/BAGS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE HELICOPTER Please put all items you wish to bring with you into your pockets. Water bottles can be held or placed under the seat while in flight.

The dog sled ride offers the chance to sit or stand. A guide will accompany you and drive the dog team and each sled has spots to either sit or stand while mushing across the glacier.

This tour can be very popular, but the booking calendar is live and you can also just give us an email or call and we can tell you specific availability on the days you are traveling. 

This tour begins from Seward, Alaska. If you are driving yourself from Anchorage, the drive is about 2.5 hours south. Specific driving directions will be emailed to you at the time of booking.

Due to FAA policy, we cannot fly passengers over 300 lbs.

Adults weighing over 250lbs are charged an additional $150 comfort seat charge.

Trips may be canceled up to 96 hours before the scheduled start time without penalty. For custom events, private tours, or reservations that fill an entire glacier dog sledding departure, cancellations must be made at least 30 days in advance to avoid charges. To cancel, please email our office so we have written confirmation—cancellations cannot be accepted by phone.
